Beef Shawarma Recipe


500g thinly sliced beef (sirloin or flank)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Pita bread or flatbreads for serving
Sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions for garnish

In a bowl, combine minced garlic, yogurt, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
Add the sliced beef to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the fridge for better flavor.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the marinated beef slices until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve the beef shawarma in pita bread with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. Drizzle with tahini sauce if desired.
